CALLIBRATION AND VERIFICATION (NRCS)
If a weighbridge is used for trading purposes, there are legal requirements to always meet the stated accuracy (with certain tolerances).
It is therefore strongly advised to have your weighbridge regularly calibrated/verified to ensure that these legal requirements are met. It is recommended to calibrate every 12 months, or whenever components such as load cells are replaced on your weighbridge. Failure to do this, can result in fines being issued. Further to this, the Trading Standards (NRCS), have the power to shut down any weighbridge that does not meet the performance criteria.
